Yum ! We found 12 mistakes that were too sweet in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Michel & Michel are greedy for sweets, but also for fake connections: two good reasons for them to invite themselves to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, versions 1971 and 2005.

This week, Willy Wonka is back on the big screen in the guise of Timothée Chalamet. the new Hollywood star takes on with greed and delight the costume and top hat of the famous creator of sweets born from the imagination of Roald Dahl to tell the story of the character’s youth and in particular his meeting with the Oompa Loompas (proudly represented by Hugh Grant).

This colorful and sweet Christmas film is the perfect opportunity for Michel & Michel to reopen the doors of the chocolate factory visited by young Charlie in two feature films: the 1971 version, signed Mel Stuart and directed by Gene Wilder, and the 2005 version revisited by Tim Burton and worn by his favorite actor Johnny Depp. If they were striking and magical for the younger generations who enjoyed them, these two films also contain their share of false connections.

“A kid who eats a bar, a technician who leaves too late, nothing escapes them!”

Equipped with their golden ticket and their essential yellow circle, the technical specialists at AlloCiné therefore re-watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 1971 and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2005, and unearthed some astonishing sequences. Like this poorly concealed blue projector which transforms Violet into a giant gooseberry, this child who “eats” a counter in the chin, this (fake) sheep’s wool attached with Velcro or this strange weight problem on the tablets made by Willy Wonka… In short, it’s heavy, very very heavy!

The twelve errors can be discovered in the video above! And if you see others, don’t hesitate to share your findings in the comments below. Enjoy your food !
