The damage amounts to one million euros.

The facts were fully filmed by the mall’s CCTV cameras. Around 6 a.m., two hooded men arrive near the Marc Orian store. Equipped with a grinder, they cut through the iron curtain of the store then enter the interior of the jewelry store. For thirty minutes, they seize some 12,000 jewels, before fleeing.

It was a passerby who then gave the alert, warning the police at 1:25 p.m. An alarm system was present in the store, but the alert was sent to the manager’s cell phone, which did not report anything. Contacted by Le Figaro, the managers of the store did not wish to react immediately. For its part, the prosecution confirms the opening of an investigation, entrusted to the Regional Service of the Judicial Police (SRPJ) of Versailles. This is the second burglary of this type in less than a week in the Yvelines. Thursday July 28, the jewelry store of a Leclerc supermarket in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine was also attacked.
