An animator working since 2018 for the town hall of Chatou, in the Yvelines, is the target of several complaints of rape and sexual assault on children aged 3 to 5 years old. In total, thirteen victims were identified. The man has since been suspended from his duties.
According to information from Le Parisien, the man intervened on extracurricular times in five nursery schools in the city, but also in leisure centers on Wednesdays. Although he was not an educator, the individual was also present during meals in the canteen. This is where the touching took place.
Last October, a mother decided to file a complaint. Since then, about twenty testimonies – almost identical – have come to support the case.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the man was not known to the police. His criminal record was clean.
The municipal employee has since been reinstated in another service, where he is no longer in contact with the public. As for the file, it was sent to the public prosecutor, whose decision is expected soon according to the conclusions of the investigation.
