Yves Lecoq ruined, he confides without taboo: “I still have debts”

This Saturday, May 27, Yves Lecoq was the guest of Bernard Montiel, in the flagship program of C8, Don’t touch my People post. The opportunity for the comedian to return to his big financial troubles. Indeed, Yves Lecoq finds himself ruined after having followed his passion: old buildings. It all started when he wanted to buy a farm in Normandy. Bad luck, the property was too expensive. As a result, Yves Lecoq had to change his tune and bought a mansion in Picardy. Then, the actor discovers a magnificent castle in front of which “He fell to his knees”.

This is how his love for castles was born, which will then cost him dearly. In effect, Yves Lecoq began to collect castles, until he owned six. Unfortunately, such a property is very expensive to maintain. The actor therefore spent all his money on the renovations. “As I was earning a good living, all the same, with what I was doing, everything was in the works”he says on the set of TPMP People.

Yves Lecoq ruined: he still has debts

Faced with Bernard Montiel, Yves Lecoq confides in his problems with the tax authorities. “I was told ‘Mr. Lecoq, we’re going to ask you so much money because you haven’t paid so much tax'”. Unfortunately, the comedian no longer had a penny, because all his money went to his work. “I could still have put 500 balls aside”, he laments before revealing that he even had to borrow money from Bernard Montiel.

To pay his debts, Yves Lecoq was therefore forced to resell his property. “In twenty-four hours, I had to find the money”he says, before adding: “I still have debts because I sold everything at a low price“. Today, there are still two properties left to Yves Lecoq. The latter hopes to bail out thanks to his next tour. “I have just redone a kind of showcase in my village. I will send it to all the producers who demand my presence on stage and I’m going back to the gala“, concludes the actor.
