Zelda – Breath of the Wild 2: Nintendo patents reveal gameplay

• The sequel to Breath of the Wild does not yet have a title, but patents are already available.

Zelda – Breath of the Wild 2 is probably not the right title for the upcoming sequel to Breath of the Wild, but the game has not yet been given an official name.

But at least Nintendo patents have now emerged that reveal more about the new title. As the video game magazine Gamereactor reports, the patents mainly deal with concepts relating to the mechanics behind the gameplay.

Some patent content seems identical to what you can see in the trailer. For example, Link can penetrate rocks and walls.

The images contained in the patent show that Link can penetrate almost any wall, floor and ceiling as long as the angle is not too steep and there is enough space for the character.

The game mechanics behind Breath of the Wild 2

This is revealed by the patents registered by Nintendo regarding Zelda – Breath of the Wild 2.

Also described in the patent is the “return movement” that represents a kind of backward loop. With this mechanism it would be possible to rewind. How exactly the application looks in the end, however, is not clear from the picture.

And what would Link be without a parachute? In the sequel, too, the main character has a glider again and it seems that the archer can now also shoot in free fall.
