Incredible but true, Zelda Breath of The Wild will be playable in local co-op and split-screen within days. Nothing official unfortunately, but the result of the passion of a modder.

It’s no secret that modders can do wonders. And if it is above all PC players who are spoiled by the talent and creativity of these fans, Nintendo is sometimes in their sights. The proof is with this new mod which allows you to play Zelda Breath of The Wild in local co-op.

The sweet dream of an entire community becomes reality. After offering a mod cooperative multiplayer, avid fans tackled a recurring player request: roam the vast expanses of Hyrule side-by-side on the couch. the modder Kirbymimi has rolled up her sleeves to achieve the impossible. Zelda BOTW will soon be playable in local co-op and split-screen. the mod allowing this little magic trick will be available in beta from this Friday, July 29.

If it is fully functional, it nevertheless still requires some adjustments and improvements to correct bugs and stability issues. The problem is that you have to either go through an emulator on PC, or take the risk of tweaking your Switch and possibly getting banned by Big N. Anyway, the most curious will be able to test this very soon and the presentation of this local coop of Zelda Breath of The Wild clearly makes you want. Maybe that could give Nintendo some ideas for BOTW 2?
