Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: How to find and solve the Temple of Thunder

• For Temple of Thunder you need to go to Gerudo Town and talk to Riju.
• Align the lighthouses and solve the puzzles in the Temple of Thunder.
• You defeat the boss with the lightning bolts of Riju.

One of the four temples in The Legend of Zelda – Tears of the Kingdom is the Temple of Thunder among the Gerudos. You can visit the temple if you follow the main quest “Investigate the Four Regions”.

Make your way to Gerudo Town, but you should exercise caution here. If you take off your clothes in the Gerudo sanctuary, you activate an Easter Egg. Accept the quest “Riju from Gerudo Town” and follow the quest.

After slaying a few Gibdos, you’ll need to position three different lighthouses to reveal a triangle. In the center is the Temple of Thunder. You can see how you solve the puzzles in the Thunder Temple in the attached video.

The boss fight

At the end of the Thunder Temple you will meet the boss again in the form of the Gibdo Queen. You use Riju’s lightning bolts to kill them. Dodge the hurricanes and use one of your shields when sandblasting.

There is also a second phase for the Gibdo Queen, because she calls Gibdos with four mushrooms for reinforcement. Destroy one of the nests with a flash and save yourself in the resulting cone of light. The Gibdos nearby will die from the light and you can destroy the other nests before turning your attention back to the queen.

In our opinion, the boss in the Thunder Temple was not exactly easy to kill. Therefore you should have enough food and hearts ready and maybe you want to complete other temples first.
