As tradition dictates, the latest Nintendo Direct ended with a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The juggernaut expected on Switch on May 12, 2023, and which was surprisingly discreet three months before its release.
The tone is no longer really joyful in Hyrule, and the black clouds of the trailer are there to remind us. Without really revealing too much about a new opus which has the difficult task of succeeding Breath of the Wild while rushing to conquer the skies. And try not to blow up the Switch on the way.
So we see new capabilities, some vehicles to move both on land and in the air. Or towering new creatures, while the bestiary is obviously largely based on the first episode. In short, something to arouse curiosity and remind that the game still wants to keep its spring release date.
The main information of the evening lies rather on the side of the price. While Tears of the Kingdom will cost 70 dollars across the Atlantic, Europe escapes – for the moment – a price increase. Pre-orders on the Nintendo eShop indeed indicate a proud 70 euros.
