Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: this is what the special edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED will look like

On Reddit, several images of the Nintendo Switch OLED which will be released at the same time as Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have leaked. It will use the iconic colors and illustrations of the saga, in addition to displaying its logo on the dock. It will be possible to buy it in a pack that also includes the game.

The wait around The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has visibly swelled for a few days. Lately, many more or less plausible rumors have appeared on forums around the world. Yesterday in particular, we were talking to you about a clue that would point to a hypothetical multiplayer mode, although this seems unlikely to us.

Today’s leak, on the other hand, is much more plausible. On Reddit, as often, a user has indeed posted several photos of the Nintendo Switch OLED collector, which will probably be sold in a pack also including the game. Its unique design is therefore directly inspired by the cult saga, whether by the golden and green colors than by the ancestral symbols found on the Joycon.

As for the dock, it will be adorned with the emblem of the Triforce, again surrounded by ancient illustrations of a disappeared Hyrule. A very beautiful object therefore, which will certainly console some who would have preferred to get their hands on a Nintendo Switch Pro. The announcement of the game had indeed awakened old rumors about the console, and many hoped that Tears of the Kingdom would be the perfect opportunity to launch the latter.

Unfortunately, according to the latest news, the project, which seemed already well advanced, was canceled at Nintendo’s offices. The next Zelda will therefore be released on the current Switch, 6 years after Breath of the Wild. If the latter had blown away the players when it was released, its successor is now expected at the turn, on a console that has already suffered the vagaries of age for a while.
