Actress Zendaya made history last night at the Emmy Awards. She received the award for best actress in a dramatic series.

She is only 24 years old and already has a dazzling career. Zendaya blew everyone away with her performance in the phenomenon series Euphoria. This series traces the story of Rue who, after a stay in a drug rehab center, returns to high school. We discover his neuroses, but also those of his classmates. The HBO TV series tackles a variety of topics around adolescence and that's what made it so successful at release.
If the Emmy Awards ceremony took place in video, it was very striking. From home, Zendaya received the award for Best Actress in a Drama Series. She thus becomes the youngest actress to have been awarded in this category. A record which proves that, despite her young age, Zendaya is in the big leagues. Beside, confirmed actresses were named such as Jennifer Aniston, Olivia Colman or Sandra Oh. Of course, Zendaya's speech was just as moving. She wanted to thank the women with whom she was in the race: "I would just like to thank the voters, and the other women nominated. It's crazy. Thank you HBO and A24 for your support. Thank you to my family and my team, and to the amazing team at Europhoria – I have so much. lucky and I am inspired by all of you ", she explained, moved and stressed at the same time.
She looked back on this difficult period around the world, but also on the themes of this series which deals with adolescence with great sincerity: “I feel like it's a weird time to party, but there is hope among young people. I know our TV series is not always a good example of that, but there is has hope in young people. And to my peers who do street work, I see you, I admire you and I thank you. And thank you very much. "
Zendaya also made Emmy Awards history by becoming the second black woman to be honored in this category. In 2015, actress Viola Davis was awarded for her performance in the series Murder. Zendaya is a rising actress. While first revealed to the general public at the age of 14, today it strays from the image instilled by the Disney team. After playing in the series Shake it up, she caused a sensation by embodying the "love interest" by Peter Parker in Spiderman homecoming. Also a singer, we could see her in the musical The Greatest Showman alongside Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman. Season 2 of the series Euphoria has been confirmed and should arrive shortly.
