The 2022 edition of ZEvent is fast approaching, and despite the controversy around the event and particularly around the association initially chosen by ZeratoR, everything seems to be working out. The machine is running and the communities of the 56 streamers present will be there to support the 5 associations between which the ZEvent donations will be distributed.
To add even more spice to this last big edition of ZEvent, its organizer had the idea of using two very well-known concepts on the internet (R/Place and TwitchPlaysPokemon), in order to adapt them to the ZeratoR sauce. Let’s discover them together!
ZEvent Place
You have no doubt heard of the Reddit Place, this thread that united thousands of anonymous people during the great Pixel War. On April 1st, the second edition of r/Place made its appearance, totally unleashing streamers around the world. Various pixel wars have been launched between nations, with the French-speaking side the great general Kameto. In total, it is more than 16 million pixels that were laid on the white canvas of r/Place.
ZeratoR therefore had the idea of setting up its own Place (pun intended). During the next ZEvent to come next October, the ZEvent Place will allow viewers to pose their pixel… but all this at a price. The concept is simple: 1€ of donation is equal to 10 pixels to pose. If French-speaking streamers manage to recreate the r/Place craze, the sums raised thanks to this idea could be monumental.
Twitch Plays Pokemon
Another very popular concept in the Twitchosphere, the Twitch Plays Pokémon consists of (as its name suggests) allowing people present on the chat of a stream to choose the commands to be executed in a Pokémon license game. Over the years, several editions of the Twitch Plays Pokémon have been organized, with the aim of letting the community decide the character’s movements as well as the Pokémon’s attacks. The result is quite chaotic, but allows to unite thousands of anonymous people in a common goal : become the best trainer.
For the ZEvent 2022, viewers will have to join forces in order to collect as many arena badges as possible. For each badge collected, several steamers will have to send donations, for an amount still unknown. One thing is certain, the community will give its all!
ZeratoR has clearly chosen two activities to bring ZEvent viewers together around a common goal, thus raising the hype. As a reminder, the charity event will take place from September 8 to 11 at the Zenith of Montpellier and promises to be totally crazy! We can’t wait to find out what these two concepts have in store for us as they make their debut at ZEvent!
