In full promotion for the film Batman with Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz confided in a problem she encountered during the filming, where she plays Catwoman.
“Often people are afraid of this kind of thing”. After Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale or even Ben Affleck, Robert Pattinson donned the costume of the vigilante of Gotham City for The Batman by Matt Reeves. This film, which will be released on March 2, takes place during the second year of Bruce Wayne’s fight against crime, which will face a serial killer who poses puzzles at the scene of his crimes, named The Sphinx and brought to screen by Paul Dano. At his side, Batman can count on the support of Catwoman, who, after having been played by Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry or even Anne Hathaway, will be embodied this time by Zoë Kravitz.
A major role for the daughter of Lenny Kravitz, who had to put on a very tight and leather jumpsuit for the occasion, which is already, in itself, not an easy task. So when she was announced for the role, Michelle Pfeiffer called on the costume designers to think carefully about how she will go to the bathroom with this full outfit, which doesn’t look so practical to wear. “Admittedly, that’s good advice, and for Rob and myself, it’s the most common piece of advice we’ve been given regarding costumes.“thus confided Zoë Kravitz, guest of It’s up to you Tuesday, February 22 with her co-star, who clarified that each time, she needed “two people for [l’]help to go to the toilet“. “And we also held back as long as possible”she added, accomplice with Robert Pattinson.
This blow in the middle of filming Batman
Advice taken very seriously, both by Zoë Kravitz and the interpreter of Batman who, once again, succumbed to the big physical changes to play this role, which appears just as dark as the three films with Christian Bale. A filming which, however, was not spared by the hard knocks, such as the absence, for several days, of Robert Pattinson, who tested positive for Covid-19. An absence which cost the production 5 million pounds, even if Matt Reeves, the director, did everything to minimize the damage and continue filming without the star.
