Zombies, beer and multicolored blood… this completely crazy anime is already considered one of the best of the year!

We continue our summer with three new animated recommendations to devour before the start of the school year. A colorful zombie invasion, a magical romance, a mysterious ghost story: the choice is yours!

ZOM 100: BUCKET LIST OF THE DEAD (Crunchyroll)

On air since July 9.

What would you do if one morning you discovered your neighborhood ravaged by an invasion of zombies? Far from the clichés of the anguished but courageous hero, the protagonist of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, jaded, prefers to accept his future death from the outset. Nevertheless, and after three years of slavery as an office worker, he lists the 100 things he would like to do before becoming a zombie himself. Motivated to realize his dreams, this young man who had been depressed until then suddenly finds a taste for life again!

Completely crazy and colorful, this anime adapted from the eponymous manga by Asou Haro is THE dose of good humor and laughter for the summer. This horror comedy with endearing characters and expert direction will seduce you from its first minutes! Special mention to the BUG FILMS studio, for which this is the first production and which is already shaping up to be the graphic nugget of the year!

MY HAPPY WEDDING (Netflix)

On air since July 5.

A young girl born into a high-ranking family but belittled by her stepmother and her wicked stepsister… If you think My Happy Marriage is just a pale adaptation of Cinderella, rest assured: past her introduction, the story quickly moves away from the popular tale of Charles Perrault to exploit its own themes.

Immersed in 19th century Japan where alliances and betrayals between pure-blood families sometimes mingle with the supernatural, you can forget the glass slipper and the pumpkin carriage. Here, we are talking more about spectral visions and mastery of the elements. A romantic drama that seduces with its duo of charismatic heroes and the beauty of its animation signed Kinema Citrus (Made in Abyss).

DARK GATHERING (DNA)

On air since July 9

Want to treat yourself to some cold sweats this summer? Dark Gathering is for you! Available on DNA, the anime introduces us to the young Keitaro. The latter nourishes a deep aversion towards the spirits, which he attracts against his will since a tragic event. He therefore prefers to isolate himself from the world, thus hoping to protect those around him from his curse.

Ready to reintegrate into society thanks to the unwavering support of her childhood friend Eiko, her meeting with the enigmatic Yayoi, a little girl fascinated by the occult sciences since her mother’s disappearance, leads her to live adventures for the less worrying.

On air since April 9.

These animes can be found on Netflix, Crunchyroll and DNA.
