THE mini pc are on the rise, and Zotac intends to remain one of the leaders in this market segment.
If some users swear by their “big tower” and a cooling system to make any nuclear power plant green with envy, there are others who prefer the compactness of mini-PCs.
An RTX 4070 Laptop in 2.65 liters
Zotac has had a wide range of small machines for several years now, capable of delighting this second category of users. There’s something for almost everyone, and the latest update should convince even more users.
Indeed, two new Magnus models were presented by Zotac with, as a result, quite incredible specifications for machines that are still very compact. Thus, the Magnus EN only occupy a volume of 2.65 liters, due to dimensions of 210 x 203 x 62.2 millimeters. However, the power is clearly there.
Zotac was actually able to house an Intel Core i7-13700HX laptop processor with 16 cores and capable of climbing up to 5 GHz. It is supported by 16 GB of DDR5 memory expandable up to 64 GB and, sorry, by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop graphics card.
Magnus One: 16 CPU cores and RTX 4070
For those who rely a little less on compactness, Zotac also has a more “voluminous” range, the Magnus One. The latest version of this series therefore has a volume of 8.3 liters due to dimensions of 265.5 x 126 x 249 millimeters. You will admit that it remains very compact.
On the other hand, by thus multiplying by three the volume available, Zotac is much more comfortable integrating muscular components, and there is no longer any question of turning to products from the world of laptops. The processor is now an Intel Core i7-13700 with 16 cores and capable of climbing up to 5.2 GHz. It remains supported by 16 GB of DDR5 expandable to 64 GB, but the graphics card goes to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 “very short” (whose prices had dropped a few months ago).
The additional volume also allows the presence of a 2.5-inch bay in addition to the single M.2 port occupied by a 1 TB SSD. Finally, Zotac installs an 80+ Platinum 500-watt power supply. Two dream machines for quite different purposes. Alas, the prices are likely to sting, and not only the eyes. We do not yet have details on this side, but do not count less than 1,500 euros.
