The 21-year-old non-Swiss citizen celebrated his first victory at a wreath festival at the Zug Cantonal Wrestling Festival.

Noe van Messel celebrated the biggest success of his young career so far in Zug. And in an impressive way. The talented, 192 cm tall Zuger won all six courses.

In the final he defeated Jonas Burch from Obwalden, who was two years his senior and has been a Confederate since Pratteln 2022.

Reichmuth misses the final

The favored Pirmin Reichmuth did not get enough maximum marks to advance to the final round. But he finished second. Marcel Bieri as third completed the triumph of the Zug wrestlers.

Since the Central Swiss in Pratteln only brought seven wrestlers into the wrestling ranks and the Confederates Benji von Ah and Andi Imhof resigned, the field at the cantonal festivals in Central Switzerland has thinned out. In Zug, in the absence of Joel Wicki and Sven Schurtenberger, only six Swiss were in the field.
