Latest game from Vanillaware studios, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, which had already been entitled to its release on PS4 in 2020, offers a port on Nintendo Switch. Published by Sega, the visual novel type game will be available on its new platform on April 12, 2022.
In this 2D side-scrolling adventure, you will follow the intertwined fates of 13 characters facing an attack by Kaiju in the heart of Japan in a marked sci-fi universe. Our 13 protagonists, mostly high school students and especially high school girls, will be called upon to join the battle as pilots of Sentinels, giant robots responsible for defending humanity against the invader. You will also be able to customize the Sentinels using an arsenal of robotic weapons.
If the game opens on a Tokyo of 1985, several eras will intertwine over the course of the adventure and the characters. The narration, fragmented to the extreme, will force you to regularly change the protagonist if you want to know all the ins and outs of the story.
