This week, several American media gave new information on how he would have acted. On Friday, it was thus revealed that the young boy, the cousin of the victim, admitted the facts, explaining that he had planned to rape her, then to kill her, while she was going to her aunt’s house on April 24. .
According to CBS, the suspect said he helped Lily retrieve her bike as she was on her way and then followed her. He then allegedly told her that he wanted to explore the forest a bit, trapping her in a remote area. There, he allegedly hit her in the stomach, knocking her to the ground, before beating her with a stick, strangling her and raping her. The American teenager then reportedly said he ran home, took a shower, changed his clothes. After hearing that people were looking for the victim, he reportedly returned to the scene to better hide his body. He would have moved the body a few meters.
While his identity is kept secret because of his age, the “Daily Mail” indicated at the end of April that the father of the suspect would be a pedophile sex offender, himself sentenced to three years in prison for possession of child pornography. The young boy was taken into custody and charged with murder. Prosecutors have yet to determine whether the teenager will be prosecuted as an adult.
