Following the publication of Victor Castanet’s book, but also a report by the “Cash investigation” program on the establishments of Korian, a competitor of Orpea, the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, announced on Tuesday that all of the 7,500 Ehpad (accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people) in France would be checked over the next two years, as part of a plan aimed at better regulating their activity.
