In Grossarl, a farmhouse is currently on fire. Due to the location, the extinguishing water supply is difficult. Over 100 emergency services are on site.
Seven fire brigades are currently in action in Grossarl to get the large edge of the old farmhouse under control. According to the fire brigade commander, a total of 116 emergency services and 16 fire engines are in action. Altenmarkt and Wagrain had to join the five fire brigades already on site (Grossarl, St. Johann, Hüttschlag, Schwarzach and Bischofshofen). Due to the geographical location of the property, the fire extinguishing water supply has so far been difficult. According to the fire department, the house has burned down completely. There were no injuries. The owners and guests who are currently staying there were not on site when the fire broke out. It is still unclear why the fire broke out; the farmhouse had to be completely demolished. How much the damage will amount to is not yet known.
