Alerted by the noise, a neighbor called the police who discovered the body of an 18-year-old lifeless young woman in an apartment.
On the night of August 20 to 21, an apartment in Carrière-sur-Seine, in the Yvelines, was the scene of a tragedy. It was a neighbor who gave the alert by declaring that she heard “noises of argument and muffled shouting in the apartment upstairs”reports West France quoting AFP. Arriving on the spot, the police first face an alcoholic man who refuses to open the door to them, then, after insisting, he allegedly let them in and declared that he had “made a big mistake”.
In the kitchen of the apartment, the body of an 18-year-old young woman bearing the traces ofa stab in the throat was found, reports France Info. Paramedics tried to stop the bleeding and resuscitate her, to no avail. Two men were also present at the scene, one aged 21, “whose role is to be defined”and the other 20 years old, who “would be her boyfriend”. The latter was taken into custody for “domestic homicide”according to information provided by the Versailles prosecutor’s office to France Info.
A man already known to the police
According to information from Parisianthe alleged perpetrator was already known to the police for acts of violence against a 15-year-old minor and for domestic violence. The body of the young woman, a certain Clara, originally from Chatou in the Yvelines, was taken to the forensic institute of Garches, in the Hauts-de-Seine, and will be the subject of an autopsy. According to figures from the We All collective, it could be the 83rd femicide since the beginning of 2022. As a reminder, last year, 113 women died, killed by their spouse or ex-spouse.
