Demonstrators who had already blocked the road with banners were taken off the road by police officers. Traffic was diverted during the blockade. Nevertheless, traffic jams naturally formed quickly, the ÖAMTC reported. According to the traffic club, these already stretched back to the western entrance to Mantlergasse, and the trend was rising. There were also delays on Johnstrasse, Schlossallee, Linzer Strasse, Felberstrasse, Maxingstrasse, Hietzinger Hauptstrasse and the west exit in the Auer-Welsbach-Park area.
