Erin White's project is to enhance the body of moms and normalize breastfeeding around the world. Indeed, breastfeeding in public seems very difficult for some women who have the feeling of being judged and singled out when they perform this gesture, however banal. As proof, the controversy caused a few days ago by Donald Trump. The American billionaire has, in fact, made inappropriate remarks to a mother asking for a break during a trial. She had to express her milk in order to feed her daughter. "‘‘ You are disgusting! You are disgusting! " he shouted at this mom.
And anecdotes like this, a lot of women could tell. Yes, feeding your child and taking care of it is not always easy. This is why this photographer decided to sublimate this magical moment between a mother and her child. What does this artist claim? The right of a mother to be able to breastfeed in public without having to feel ashamed or indecent. For Erin White, breastfeeding should not be the subject of controversy.
Indeed, breastfeeding is a choice that belongs to the mother and to her alone. Whether she is breast-feeding or bottle-feeding her baby, it's up to her to decide what's right for her. The only thing that matters is that she agrees with her choices. And the eyes of society should absolutely not weigh on this decision so intimate.
