NG, who had disappeared without a trace since Saturday evening, was found lifeless in Adelboden at around 7 p.m., as reported by “La Liberté”. Accordingly, it was family friends who found him, as the deceased’s father explained.
“It was behind a building near the bus parking lot. His body was very well hidden, barely visible even to thermal imaging cameras. He must have spent the night in the cold, ”reports the deceased’s father.
About 30 residents from Châtel-St-Denis FR, where NG lived, had helped their parents with the search. NG hadn’t contacted me since 6 p.m. on Saturday. He was last seen in Adelboden on Saturday evening. He and friends followed the men’s World Cup giant slalom there. At 6 p.m. the bus should have gone back to Châtel-St-Denis FR – but the 20-year-old did not show up for the departure date: «N. I was still on the phone with his friend, who told him to hurry up, ”the father told 20 minutes. The bus waited about a quarter of an hour and then left without the son.
The Bernese canton police started a large-scale search for the missing person on Saturday evening, using search dogs and drones, among other things.
