20-year-old struck – punch knocked down aggressive mobster

An argument between two men (54 and 20) escalated completely at Innsbruck main station on Sunday afternoon. After the older man first insulted the younger man and then broke a glass bottle, the 20-year-old struck.

The altercation occurred on Sunday around 3:30 p.m. in the forecourt of Innsbruck main station. As the police reported, a 54-year-old local man initially insulted a 20-year-old Syrian and became increasingly aggressive. Finally the older man broke a glass bottle. 54-year-old in clinic, suspected perpetrator escaped. The Syrian hit the Austrian in the face with his fist, whereupon he fell to the ground. The rescue team had to take him to the clinic because he was injured. The 20-year-old left the crime scene, but the police were able to locate him after a short search. He is now reported to be at large.
