Ukraine: Whole family killed in Kherson attack

According to Kiev, Russian forces have attacked two villages in the Kherson region. An entire family is wiped out in the attack – the youngest victim was only three weeks old. According to Ukraine, the neighboring village was hit twelve times by Russian artillery.
According to the government in Kiev, seven civilians were killed in a Russian attack on two villages in the southern Ukrainian region of Cherson. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko announced that a couple, their 23-day-old child and another man died in the village of Schyroka Balka. The family’s 12-year-old son was also killed. Klymenko reported this in an updated message. “The whole family died in Shyroka Balka,” he wrote. In addition to the family in Schyroka Balka, another resident was killed, it is said.
In the neighboring village of Stanislaw, two other people were killed and one injured. The village was hit by artillery twelve times, writes Klymenko on Telegram. “The terrorists will never voluntarily stop killing civilians,” the interior minister said, posting two photos of damaged houses. “The terrorists must be stopped. By force. They don’t understand anything else.” The Ukrainian military recaptured the western part of the Kherson region in November. However, Russian troops continue to regularly shell the area from the other side of the Dnipro River.
At least 500 children have already fallen victim to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office. In addition, almost 1,100 children suffered injuries of various degrees of severity, the authority wrote on Telegram. She pointed out that the census was incomplete.
Eight-year-old died in rocket attack in western Ukraine
