DJs have been playing on the eight stages along the parade route since 1 p.m. And at 2 p.m. the first of 26 Love Mobiles made its way around the Zurich lake basin, banging loudly.
The roaring dance and music floats take around four hours to cover the two-kilometre route from Seefeld via Bellevue, Quaibrücke and Bürkliplatz to the Enge pier.
Hours of party fun
This guarantees hours of outdoor party fun for the several hundred thousand people who are expected. According to the program, the last Love Mobile will only start shortly before 6 p.m. – and will arrive in the Enge around 10 p.m.
People celebrate in Zurich
The national and international DJs, who perform at the dance demo without an official fee, will ensure a great atmosphere on the eight stages until midnight. In addition, several dozen parties will be held in various locations around the city from Friday to Sunday around the major event.

Because numerous party buses arrived from abroad in the morning, and many extra trains and even more regular trains arrived at the Zurich train stations, from which a constant stream of good-humored and happy party people got off.

As with previous editions, the audience at Street Parade is once again a mixed bag; Young people, families with children and also many grey-flecked people move through the crowd to the booming beats.
Some of them dressed up as superheroes, unicorns, butterflies or smurfs. Others present glittery garments – or just a few. And most of them are in normal, casual summer clothes with short pants and a hat to protect against the sun. “Having fun and partying” is what most of them give as their motivation for traveling to Zurich.
The motto of the 29th Street Parade is «Think!». The organizing committee writes that only those who think can confirm, tick off or readjust their actions and prejudices.
