- A double strike in the first half by Thibault Klidje and Ardon Jashari puts the Central Swiss team on the road to victory.
- In the 63rd minute, Pius Dorn made everything clear after a sugar pass from Jashari.
At the weekend, FC Luzern had to fight hard for its 2-1 win over Lausanne-Sport, but on Thursday evening it was effortless against city rivals Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy. After Pius Dorn made it 3-0 after just over an hour of play, the game was decided. The German was launched beautifully by Ardon Jashari, then went around Jérémy Vachoux and pushed the ball into the empty net.
With a pass, FCL director and captain Jashari undermined the entire SLO defense. Just a few minutes earlier, the hosts had come close to scoring, but Mergim Qarri’s shot hit the post. It was Lausanne’s biggest chance of the entire game.
Efficient Lucerne
In the first round, the two teams took their time before causing exciting scenes. After half an hour, the FCL registered, and twice:
- 30th minute: After a quick attack in the penalty area, Thibault Klidje gets the ball and lobs it into the goal. The guests take the lead with their first shot on goal of the game.
- 34th minute: Lucerne’s third shot of the game is parried by Vachoux. But the ball goes to Jashari, who follows up and makes it 2-0.
With the double strike, the Lucerne team had steered the game in their direction. From then on, without having to shine, they headed undisturbed towards the 3 points. Mainly because the people of Lausanne were no longer able to react.
Lucerne is moving forward
While FC Luzern is in the top 6 of the table thanks to the win and even moves up to 5th place, newly promoted SLO remains stuck at the bottom of the table. The gap to second-to-last, city rivals Lausanne-Sport, is already 7 points. While the French-speaking Swiss have to improve, the FCL can move forward.
