And so that you can get the full load of Christmas flair right away, we’ll tell you how to get out a basic recipe same three wonderfully delicious types of cookies can bake

1 dough, 3 cookies: the recipe

basic dough

Makes about 25 cookies

  • 175 grams of flour
  • 50 g ground hazelnuts
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 125g cold butter

For pollination

about 50 g powdered sugar

preparation

Thoroughly knead all the ingredients for the basic dough together. Do not knead for too long, however, so that the dough does not become too sticky.

Then follow the instructions for the respective cookie dough.

Black and white cookies

you need them simple portion of the basic dough plus in addition:

preparation

  1. Divide the base dough in half and knead the cocoa and milk under one half. Wrap both doughs separately in foil and chill for 1 hour.
  2. Then preheat the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat and line a baking tray with baking paper. Roll out the dough about 0.5-1 cm thick and cut out with a round cookie cutter. Cut each circle in half with a knife and always place a white half and a black half together on the baking sheet. When baking, the halves fuse together to create a black and white cookie. Bake the cookies for about 10-15 minutes and then let them cool down.

rascals

you need them double portion of the basic dough plus in addition:

  • 6 tablespoons jam of your choice (e.g. raspberry jam, rosehip jam, cherry jam)

preparation

  1. Wrap the base dough in foil and chill for about 1 hour.
  2. Then preheat the oven to 200 degrees top/bottom heat and line several baking trays with baking paper. Knead the dough again briefly and roll out on a little flour or in a freezer bag to a thickness of about 2 mm. Use a round cookie cutter to cut out small coins. Using a smaller round cookie cutter, poke a hole in the middle of half of the cookies.
  3. Place all the cookies on the baking sheets and bake in the oven until lightly golden, about 8 minutes. Remove cookies and let cool completely on a wire rack.
  4. Spread some jam on the biscuits without a hole in the middle and then cover with a biscuit with a hole. If necessary, add some fruit pulp to the hole in the middle.

Nougat Stars

You need the simple portion of the basic dough plus in addition:

preparation

  1. Knead the nut nougat cream into the base dough, wrap the dough in foil and chill for about 1 hour.
  2. Then preheat the oven to 200 degrees top/bottom heat and line a baking tray with baking paper. Knead the dough again briefly and roll out on a little flour or in a freezer bag to a thickness of about 0.5-1 cm. Cut out small stars with a star-shaped cookie cutter and bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes. Then let it cool down.

Finally, you can dust all the cookies with some powdered sugar. The biscuits will definitely stay fresh until Christmas in an airtight sealable biscuit jar (if you haven’t completely cleaned them up by then anyway). Have fun feasting!
