3 gaming PCs at Aldi now on offer – there are cheaper alternatives!

Three gaming PCs will be available from Aldi from August 22nd. All models come with an Intel CPU and Geforce RTX 3000 GPU. The details.

For gamers, the discounter Aldi has been offering three fast, quiet gaming PCs with the latest technology in the Aldi online shop since August 22, 2022, 7 a.m. These are available for 1,799 euros, 2,599 euros and 3,599 euros respectively. The equipment includes a 12th generation Intel Core CPU (Alder Lake), a Geforce RTX 3000 graphics card, water cooling and Windows 11 Home.

Basics first:

The three Aldi PCs are overpriced per se. In addition, Aldi relies on expensive CPUs of the current 12th core generation for the gaming trio. This also makes the PCs unnecessarily expensive, because for maximum gaming performance you should primarily invest your budget in the graphics card. That is why we have selected a cheaper alternative for you for each of the three models.

The equipment of the Aldi gaming PCs in detail:

Our assessment:

The configuration is well tailored to gamers, but unfortunately too expensive. The CPU and GPU are powerful enough for gaming at 1440p on maximum settings. But thanks to the lower hardware prices, 1,799 euros for the package is too much; if we build it ourselves, we currently get around 1,560 euros. The assembly and the guarantee are of course worth an extra charge, but not 240 euros. During configuration, we have reproduced the components as precisely as possible. Unfortunately, Aldi once again does not provide any information about the built-in power supply.

Instead of that

(here in the Aldi online shop), for example, you can get the

(Intel Core i5 10400F, GeForce RTX 3070, 16GB RAM, 1000GB HDD, 240GB SSD)

already for 1309 euros.

Medion Hunter X20 (MD34845) for 2,599 euros

  • Weight:

    approx. 13 kilograms

Our assessment:

The configuration suffers greatly from the use of DDR5 RAM. The actual use in games is currently still limited, but the prices are still high and the required motherboard also drives the price up. But even if you want to rely on DDR5 now, we can only advise against this offer. If we add up the components, we only get just under 2,150 euros.

And the competition also has much better offers. Compared to the

  • Dimensions:

  • Weight:

    approx. 13 kilograms

Our assessment:

Stay away – way too expensive. In self-construction we come to 2,740 euros – almost 860 euros less. And the money saved leaves plenty of opportunity for a few adjustments, such as a nicer case or more storage. Or you can switch to DDR4 memory and save around 200 euros.
