3 new even more autonomous robot vacuum cleaners


Dreame has just announced three new fully autonomous flagship robot vacuum cleaners. Their specificity lies in the advanced automation of station maintenance, making them even more autonomous as possible. They concentrate the brand’s latest innovations in terms of floor maintenance, for optimal results.

After the announcement of the L10s Pro Ultra Heat, the brand’s excellent value for money vacuum mopping robot, Dreame announces a new range of floor care robots. These products concentrate the brand’s latest innovations and aim to automate floor washing as much as possible, while minimizing manual tasks, notably maintenance of the robot and the station.

Dreame X30 Ultra

The first vacuum cleaner of the trio is the X30 Ultra. The latter offers a suction power of 8,300 Pa, suitable for both hard floors and carpets. It is equipped with a rubber lift-up brush roll, with the possibility of opting for an optional tri-cut brush roll, designed to cut pet hair and hair, so that they do not get tangled around the brush roll.

For washing floors, it uses two rotating pads, one of which MopExtend, able to automatically extend to clean along baseboards. These lift up to 2cm and can also be detached automatically and left in the station, which is useful for vacuuming thick carpets without getting them wet. The mops are washed in hot water at 60ºC and dried in hot air, minimizing bad odors and bacteria. Additionally, the base has a detergent tank, which can be filled with cleaning solution so that the station automatically adds this solution to the water when washing.

As for navigation, the X30 Ultra is based on integrated LiDAR, as well as an RGB AI camera and 3D structured lighting for obstacle detection. These sensors also allow the robot to identify dirt and adapt the cleaning strategy thanks to the function Clean Genius and carry out a second pass if necessary.

Finally, the base is equipped with two water tanks, a 4.5 liter clean water tank, as well as a second 4 liter tank to collect dirty water. It is also possible to purchase a water connection kit, thus avoiding having to fill and empty the water tanks. The mop cleaning board is equipped with scrapers, preventing dirt from accumulating in the station, further simplifying its maintenance.

The Dreame X30 Ultra will be available by summer, for a price of 1,400 euros.

Dreame X40 Ultra Complete

In addition to the X30 Ultra, Dreame is launching an even more advanced version, the X40. This one takes the aesthetics and most of the characteristics of the latter, with some improvements. The most notable is the addition of a motorized side brush, similar to that of the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, capable of better cleaning corners and corners, automatically extending to better reach them, but also to facilitate cleaning of mat, automatically rising if necessary.

The improvements also concern the suction power, increased to 12,000 Pa, which will be particularly effective for cleaning thick carpets in depth. The cleaning of the mops is also more efficient, with washing at 70 ºC and drying with hot air. In addition, the robot’s sensors are also more efficient, with multi-spectrum dirt detection, thanks to technology OmniDirt, allowing cleaning, passing more slowly over the dirtiest areas.

The X40 Ultra will be sold in France with additional accessories, hence the name Complete. The kit will additionally include: a brush roller, two side brushes, six pairs of mops, three filters, three dust bags, as well as a bottle of cleaning solution, in addition to those already installed on the robot.

The Dreame X40 Ultra Complete will be available from April 9 for a price of 1,500 euros on Amazon. It will also be sold at Fnac, Darty and Boulanger soon.

Dreame X40 Master

In addition to the X40 Ultra, Dreame announced the Master version. This differs from the Ultra version by its particularly compact base, which does not require water trays. It connects directly to the water inlet and outlet, for fully automated filling and emptying, without the need for human intervention. In addition to its small footprint, the base has a drawer in which the dust bag, the filter, as well as a cleaning solution tank are located.

Pricing and availability for this version remain to be confirmed. However, despite its small footprint, this configuration requires nearby water inlet and outlet, which can limit installation options.
