Traffic jam on the A2 southern motorway towards Graz: A wrong-way driver caused an accident on Tuesday afternoon, which is now costing following drivers 30 minutes. There are unlikely to be any serious injuries.
There is currently a traffic jam on the A2 Südautobahn in the direction of Graz. The trigger for the delays is a traffic accident between a wrong-way driver and several cars that occurred on Tuesday afternoon between Laßnitzhöhe and Graz-Ost. Fortunately, only one person was probably slightly injured. While emergency services are now attending to the scene of the accident, the following drivers have to be patient. The second and third lanes are closed, which currently means around 30 minutes of lost time. The emergency lane doesn’t seem to be working, trucks are blocking the middle lane. For everyone who can still avoid it, we recommend the route via the L311 – Laßnitzhöhe exit.
