This is a must-have for any George Clooney fan. “The Return of the Killer Tomatoes”, or “Return of the Killer Tomatoes”, for purists is a must see. Necessarily.
From Brad Pitt to Leonardo DiCaprio, via Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston, the biggest Hollywood stars have, at least once in their prestigious career, played in a “nanar”, these films that are a little (or even very) bad, but so endearing. George Clooney is one of those big names who flirted with the worst!
Obviously, if we say “nanar” when talking about George Clooney, you are probably thinking of Batman & Robin, this somewhat ridiculous feature film for which the actor recently mentioned a potential sequel. Except not at all. Because Batman & Robin is in no way “Nanardesque” compared to the astonishing Return of the Killer Tomatoes!

At the end of the 80s, well before becoming a world star thanks to the series Urgences, George Clooney stands out in some horrific B series, including this film which has become cult for its relative quality: The Return of the Killer Tomatoes.
Released in theaters in the United States, The Return of the Killer Tomatoessequel to Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1978), tells the story of a mad professor, Gangreen, who develops a process to transform tomatoes into human killers.

This Return of killer tomatoesin which Clooney sports a very 80’s long neck with the most beautiful effect, is not a bad memory for the Hollywood actor. On the contrary, it is a film which was very useful and which perhaps allowed him to become the star that he is today.
“As an actor, you will do anything if you need money”he declared in 2012 during a round table organized by Newsweek on the occasion of the Oscars.
“I did some really crappy jobs or movies when I was broke.”adds Clooney. “When people asked me why I played in The Return of the Killer TomatoesI would simply answer them, ‘Because I got the job!'” What else ?
