Ingredients for the no-bake cookies

Ingredients:

Instructions: And this is how the lightning recipe works:

  1. Spread a piece of baking paper on your table.
  2. Melt the chocolate. You can do this in a microwave-safe container, heating it in 30-second intervals and stirring in between – or you can use the classic method in a water bath.
  3. Add the peanut butter and teaspoon of cinnamon to the melted chocolate.
  4. Then mix in the oat flakes. They should be completely moistened, i.e. covered by the mixture, to form a well-mixed dough.
  5. Grab a tablespoon and use it to loosen the dough in portions. A full tablespoon or two moderately filled spoons should be enough. Form the dough into a small ball by hand, then place it on your prepared baking paper and then press the cookie flat. Repeat this step until the dough is used up.
Small note: the dough is quite sticky. But that’s completely normal – and you can just try whatever is left on your hands at the end.
  6. Find a suitable container for your freezer and add the cookies into it. Put some parchment paper on the bottom before you start, and protect the top of the other cookies with parchment paper before adding another layer to prevent them from sticking together.
  7. Keep the cookies in the freezer for 30 to 60 minutes to allow them to firm up.
  8. Complete! Before you eat the cookies, you should leave them out at room temperature for a few minutes (otherwise they may become too hard or cold for your teeth). The cookies can either be stored in a dry place if consumed quickly, but for a longer shelf life, the refrigerator or freezer are suitable.

A little tip: It is important not to use too much oat flakes in the cookies. Otherwise the cookies will be dry. Even if they seem sticky at first, you shouldn’t add more than a 1:3 ratio of chocolate to oatmeal. But more chocolate for more sweetness is not a problem. It is also possible to mix the chocolate, for example with dark and milk chocolate.
