The facts occurred in January 2017, Paige Hatfield had agreed to take care of the infant although she had no approval at the time. Kingston Gilbert is then only four months old when he undergoes repeated blows which could have been fatal. Indeed, under the weight of the violence, the baby begins to vomit, prompting the nanny to contact the emergency services. Kingston Gilbert was then hospitalized at Children’s Mercy and the medical teams agreed to explain that he “suffered from undue head trauma” according to Fox4KC.

According to the doctors, this cranial traumatism is the fact of a “non-accidental violent physical trauma”resulting from a “extreme brutality”and which required placing the infant in intensive care for no less than 18 days. It is the mother of the victim who specifies it, herself having decided to create a support group on social networks.
