4 reasons to never miss a space-time warp on Pokémon Legends Arceus

Pokémon Legends Arceus offers a whole new way to play this iconic license which celebrates its 26th year. Between free exploration, capture on the fly and other new features, one of the biggest novelties is probably the presence of spatio-temporal faults. If you’re new to the game, here’s why you shouldn’t miss them.

1. They are far too rare to forget

These rarely form and you will find it very important to take advantage of them whenever you see one on your game screen. Note that there is no no way to cause the distortions, this happens randomly. On the other hand, you can make sure not to delay the timer that allows them to be invoked.

2. They allow you to obtain evolution items

You will notice that when a Distortion begins, a multitude of objects then appear on the ground. Remember to collect them all as quickly as possible (use the Cerbyllin mount for more efficiency or Farfurex if the terrain is in relief). Thereby, you will obtain precious objects such as the Connection Wire, the Doubtful CD or even all the evolution stones allowing you to evolve your Pokémon. This is particularly important in order to complete your Pokédex and raise the page of your creatures to level 10.

3. They make money

Apart from evolution items which are very useful, you will also pick up a lot of shards on the ground but also Nuggets and Star Pieces. These three objects are an excellent way to earn money easily since a Nugget sells for 10,000 Pokédollars each and a Star Piece for 3,000 Pokédollars. As for the Shards, they will allow you to craft additional Star Pieces!

Red, Green or Blue, Shards are not important for your progress in Pokémon Legends Arceus, but they do have a very specific purpose.

4. They allow you to capture rare Pokémon

Pokemon Legends Arceus is set in Sinnoh’s past, so some creatures aren’t supposed to appear in this time. This is particularly the case of Porygon, Magneti, Cranidos or Dinocler. Don’t worry, these Pokémon are then only available in spatio-temporal rifts and this is therefore the only way for you (besides trades) to obtain them!

Distortions are also a great way to capture rare pokemon like the normal form of Sneasel, the starters of Hisui or even evolutions of Eevee. In short, enough to make you a great team from the start of the game.

Having trouble capturing certain creatures on the newly released Pokémon Legends Arceus? You are probably not alone since a dozen Pokémon have a very rare appearance rate.
