Everyone was waiting for a Mario Kart 9. This is why Nintendo made Nintendo and instead announced an additional circuit pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Featuring remastered versions of tracks from across the franchise, and content for the months to come.
We are promised circuits from Super Mario Kart, Double Dash or Mario Kart Tour. The Coco Supermarket of the Wii, the Choco Mountain of the N64 or the Crossing of Tokyo were thus presented during the Nintendo Direct.
On the program, no less than 48 races will appear, spread over 6 waves of content. If you have followed well, that makes 8 races per wave. The first arrives on March 18, while the others should follow until the end of 2023. Which means you won’t see an MK9 until 2024. What? Mario Kart 8 was originally released in 2014. So it has a good lifespan.
This Mario Kart 8 Deluxe additional circuits pass came to 25€, and contains the 8 waves of content. It is also included in the formula premium of the Switch online subscription. Useful if you play Animal Crossing New Horizonsand which would almost become an interesting formula.
