5 Senses for Love – Marry your blind date: New Sat.1 dating show in the style of "Love is blind"

The new Sat.1 dating show "5 Senses for Love – Marry your Blind Date" wants to know: Is love really blind?

The Netflix production "Love is Blind" was a complete success. Now Sat.1 is also trying a similarly designed dating show. In "5 Senses for Love – Marry your Blind Date", the flirt partners don't see each other, but are allowed to get to know each other with almost all of their senses. You can "sniff each other, hear the voice of the unfamiliar counterpart, touch him or her and taste it," says a press release from the station.

Wedding vows before first eye contact

Only when it has sparked and the blind, love-hungry couples "promise marriage" are they allowed to take a look at his or her future spouse. But what happens if the chosen one does not correspond to your own visual ideas and preferences? "Does appearance play a role at all after getting to know each other sensually?" The show wants to find out. Do the couples stay together and actually get married or does the love blindness disappear quickly?

The shooting for "5 Senses for Love – Marry your Blind Date" has already started in Munich, "of course in compliance with all prescribed corona measures", according to Sat.1. A broadcast date is not yet known. Nothing has been revealed about the participants either.

Anyone who thinks that this experiment can only backfire: In "Love makes you blind", six couples actually got engaged. Two couples are happily married to this day.
