59th Bièvres International Photo Fair

Are you passionate about old equipment, looking for the rare pearl or just want to get started with equipment that you can’t find anywhere else? Bièvres is the place to go! Even today, the Bièvre fair remains without doubt the largest second-hand photo market in France and probably in Europe. However, Bièvres is not just a simple second-hand market where you spend hours squatting rummaging through boxes in search of a nugget: it is also the place to buy new equipment (stand Phox) to learn about the latest digital innovations, learn about old techniques (Marinette workshops) or discover the unique films of Nation Photo Washi such as Kosmo or Washi.

A world of pictures

The international fair of Bièvres (Essonne) is also an opportunity to discover photo exhibitions. This year, the organization has invited Xavier Lambour, who will present his series Gaijin story and Vélo la vie. The French Museum of Photography will exhibit 400 images and objects, in order to question us about our relationship to portraits, and invites us to meet faces who have posed in front of the lens from the middle of the 19th century to the present day. . The Le Mille Feuilles bookstore will hang the work of Thierry Clech in film and black & white on his travels in Japan between 2011 and 2018.
