Dell is starting 2024 at CES in Las Vegas by presenting, among other things, two monitors from the UltraSharp range. The idea: high-end PC screens with all the technology you could dream of, but with a focus on reducing eye fatigue.
CES 2024 isn’t officially open as manufacturers begin announcing their products. This is the case for Dell, which is starting the new year with two computer screens, the UltraSharp. If its ambition is to reduce eye fatigue, we also have the impression that the brand wants to integrate the best in terms of performance. At the same time, the manufacturer has lifted the veil on the 2024 XPS.
High-end PC monitors from Dell
Two models were presented: one 34 inches, the other 40 inches. These are curved IPS panels and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified. They offer a maximum definition of 5K, or 5120 by 2160 pixels, for the 40-inch version, and a WQHD definition, or 3440 by 1440 pixels for the 34-inch version. On the color side, it intends to cover 99% of DCI-P3.
As for the connectivity, it seems quite complete. First of all, there is a Thunderbolt 4 port (which partly gives its name to the product), with a power supply that can go up to no less than 140 W (90 W for the 34-inch model). The screens also have an RJ45 Ethernet port (up to 2.5 GB/s), an HDMI 2.1 FRL port as well as a DisplayPort 1.4.
Looking at the technical sheet, we could say that these screens are designed for video game enthusiasts, but not so much. First of all because we don’t know the screen latency (the manufacturer has not indicated it). Then because given the prices charged, the design or the functionalities of these models, Dell rather wishes to sell them to professionals.

UltraSharps are made for professionals who spend several hours every day in front of a screen.
