An invigorating body scrub with coffee grounds

To make the recipe for this body treatment – ideal after summer – which exfoliates, firms the skin and makes it very soft, you will need:
– grounds from your morning coffee
– 1 tbsp. tablespoon vegetable oil of your choice (olive, argan, sweet almond, etc.)

Recipe
In a container that you can easily use in the shower, pour your fresh coffee grounds before adding a few tablespoons of vegetable oil that you have on hand. Use just one scoop for grain-rich care and two for a double dose of hydration and a gentler exfoliating effect.

In the shower, massage the product into dry skin before washing to make your scrub even more effective.

A moisturizing yogurt face mask

To concoct this express face mask that regenerates and hydrates your skin while awakening your complexion and its radiance, here are the ingredients to see:

  • 1 plain yogurt (preferably organic)
  • 1 C. honey

Recipe
Pour the equivalent of one to two tablespoons of plain yogurt into a bowl then dilute with a spoon to obtain a smoother texture. Add a teaspoon of honey and mix again to evenly distribute the sweet liquid in the yogurt. Your mask is ready! All you have to do is apply it to your freshly cleansed and dried face, avoiding the eye area, and wait for 10 to 15 minutes for it to nourish your skin.

Anti-blackhead egg patches

To dislodge blackheads and tighten the pores of your skin, see if you have the following ingredients at home to prepare your own scrubbing patch:

Recipe
Crack your egg and separate the white from the yolk. Keep only the white for this recipe, and reuse the yolk for cooking. Make several small pieces of paper with your tissue, so that they fit all parts of your T-zone (nose, chin, forehead). Apply a little egg white to the desired area before covering it with a piece of tissue and then putting egg white on top. Allow to dry until the patch has hardened. All that remains is to remove it and then rinse your skin with clear water.

A purifying cucumber lotion

To prepare this facial treatment that tightens pores and purifies the skin, you will only need one vegetable that is easily found at a low price in the supermarket. Here is the full list of ingredients you need:
– 1 cucumber
– some water

Recipe
Peel your cucumber and cut it into slices before boiling water to cook the pieces for about twenty minutes. This is the time required for the cooking water to infuse with the vitamins, trace elements and minerals present in the cucumber. Then all you have to do is strain the water to remove the vegetable slices and place your homemade face lotion in the fridge.

Use morning and evening, after cleansing and before applying creams.

A nourishing egg hair mask

Your hair is damaged after the holidays in the sun? Bet on this repairing mask which intensely nourishes the hair fiber to restore strength and shine. To do this, all you need is:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 C. tablespoons nourishing vegetable oil of your choice (olive, jojoba, argan…) or, failing that, honey if you don’t have any.

Recipe
In a bowl, put the whole egg then add a tablespoon of vegetable oil or honey depending on what you have in your cupboards. All you have to do is mix the 2 ingredients together with a fork to obtain a treatment with a homogeneous texture. Apply your home made hair mask to your dry lengths and leave it on for 20 minutes before shampooing.

Note: on very long hair, you may need to double the quantities advertised.

A fortifying treatment for the nails with olive oil

To concoct this natural nail care which is very useful for strengthening fragile and brittle nails, here is what you need:

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • a few drops of lemon juice

Recipe
In a bowl, put two teaspoons of cheap olive oil and then add a few drops of lemon juice that you take from leftover food to whiten your nails or reduce their yellowed appearance. Mix then soak your fingertips in the mixture for a quarter of an hour. When the time is up, dry your hands on a paper towel but don’t rinse them. Instead, massage the remaining treatment onto your nails by making small circular movements with the pulp of your fingers.

Note: the mixture must be applied to bare nails (unvarnished) to deeply moisturize them. If you have it at home, do not hesitate to replace a teaspoon of olive oil with a teaspoon of castor oil to promote the growth of your nails.
