60-inch model from Samsung with 4K – original price 719 euros
As advertised on the o2 homepage, you will receive a 60-inch 4K television from Samsung with the “o2 Free M” contract. The deposit is only one euro and the monthly price drops to just 29.99 euros per month thanks to a discount. Is there a catch or is the deal worth it? Time for an extraordinary tariff check.
Samsung television under contract “o2 Free M”
In January, you can get the 4K TV AU7199 from Samsung in the “entertainment offer”. In addition to a large screen diagonal, the model from 2021 offers resolutions of up to 4K and can even display HDR content. For the 60-inch model, Samsung is charging just under 720 euros even in January 2022 – the best price on the web. Alternatively, you can pay one euro at o2 and then pay off the remaining costs for 29.99 euros.

The price is currently falling from 48.99 euros to 29.99 euros per month, but o2 is using it to advertise the Installment over 36 months. Usually your mobile phone contracts are for 24 months and this option can also be selected at o2. The contract with television then costs 10 euros more.
Calculated over 36 months, you pay 1,060.53 euros for the television plus mobile phone contract including switching bonus. The o2 Free M costs 29.99 euros per month without a TV with a 24-month term – the advantage here is of course that you can cancel after two years. Overall, the O2 TV bundle isn’t bad at all if you need a new mobile phone contract anyway. Whether you want to stammer a TV from 2021 in 2025 is up to you.
Further contracts with technology at O2
Does your current TV still do it or is 60 inches just not big enough for you? Then there are several other technology bundles including a mobile phone contract at o2. Be careful here, however, and calculate the costs once before signing the contract. The Nintendo Switch, for example, with an additional payment of 37 euros and contract costs of 29.99 euros over 36 months, costs more than the Samsung television. At the same time, it is significantly cheaper with offer prices of EUR 273.99 (as of January 2022).
