Are you also such a ponderer? If these thoughts sound familiar to you, you should let them go as soon as possible!

Our thoughts are quite powerful. Because we use it to steer our lives in a very special direction. So does our relationship. It is very important HOW we think about our partners and ourselves.

You should ban these thoughts from your head very quickly. Because sooner or later they can become a self-fulfilling prophecy (i.e. reality!).

1. My partner has to be perfect

If you give this thought too much space, you will automatically focus on the negative sides of your loved one – and that will lead to frustration in the long run.

2. I’m not good enough for her/him

Yes, otherwise he or she wouldn’t be with you, right? Anyone who thinks like that only catapults themselves into the sidelines – and completely unnecessarily.

3. Maybe there is a better one for me

Anyone who loves their partner should also fully engage with this person – and no longer stay in a back door.

4. It will get better on its own

relationship crisis? Then waiting alone usually doesn’t help. You have to actively tackle the problems – that means talking about them and looking for solutions together.

5. Happy couples don’t fight

That’s not true! Happy couples address the things that bother or bother them. Because in the end, swallowing down frustration and anger is much more dangerous for the relationship than a few wars of words.

6. Those who love each other spend every free minute together

If you both want it that way, fine. But a healthy relationship consists of the right balance of closeness and distance – and both should be aware that personal space does not mean that you do not love the other:n.

7. Love alone is enough

It would be nice. No matter how much you love each other, a relationship always means a bit of work – especially when you live together. You just have to be clear about that.
