It’s late, but it’s coming: just in time for the start of the 9-euro ticket, an app specially developed for the cheap monthly ticket is available. However, there are many indications that you are not only running late, but that you should have saved yourself the work straight away.

The waiting time is over, the 9-euro ticket is as good as there. Deutsche Bahn also has one just in time App specially developed for the ticket brought to the market, the appropriate name “9-Euro-Ticket”. It is available in the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
9 euro ticket: Nobody really needs this app
The Association of German Transport Companies (VDV), which commissioned the app, provides information about this. However, it is offered in the app stores by Deutsche Bahn. “The implementation of this digital offer was express wish of the federal and state governments, in order to offer all potential passengers everywhere in Germany the 9-euro ticket beyond the existing channels of the transport companies and associations,” explains VDV President Ingo Wortmann (source: VDV).

Other functions such as searching for train connections are not planned. Customers can also not integrate a 9-euro ticket that they have already bought elsewhere, but they can still buy one for other people. However, this can only be displayed on the original smartphone.
