The drama took place this Sunday around 10 p.m. in Lombez in the Gers. A 9-year-old boy stabbed his father several times after he uttered death threats against his mother. It was the Auch prosecutor, Jacques-Edouard Andrault, who related the facts to RMC Crime. “This is a scene of a marital dispute during which there would have been at least death threats made by the father on his partner”, he declared to our colleagues, confirming information from The Dispatch.
According to the prosecutor, the man was injured in the chest. He was transferred to hospital by paramedics. “These are superficial injuries, he has not been operated on.” While his vital prognosis is not engaged, he was quickly placed in police custody for the acts of verbal abuse towards his partner, the mother of the child. For her part, the latter is doing well and there was no physical violence that evening.

Regarding the child, the prosecutor gave more details about his actions. He would have tried to protect his mother at the time of the facts. “We are concerned about his protection. As he is a 9-year-old minor, he benefits from a presumption of criminal irresponsibility which applies to children under 13”, revealed the public prosecutor. Thus, he should not be prosecuted, given his young age.
