As the news agency Ansa reported on Sunday, an experiment is to start on June 5th in the southern Italian port city of Gallipoli, in which 2000 people will be able to celebrate in the open air in the “Praja” disco. Another test is planned in the closed rooms of the “Fabric” club in Milan. No date has yet been given for this.
As the association of entertainment companies Silb-Fipe further explained, in Gallipoli in Apulia only those who like dancing have access who can show a fresh corona test or their vaccination certificate. No safety distances are required inside, but guests have to wear protective masks. Corona tests would be carried out again when leaving the club.
Boisterous dance parties
Association boss Maurizio Pasca referred to experiences in Spain, Holland and Great Britain. “We are working on health regulations for reopening Covid-free discos,” he said. Boisterous dance parties, especially in the beach resorts, are part of summer life for young Italians.
Italy is on a gradual easing course with falling corona numbers. It was expected that the outdoor discos would be allowed to reopen in mid-June. So far, however, there is a night exit ban in the entire Mediterranean country, which starts at 10 p.m. Expert talks with the government were planned for Monday in Rome, which should also include postponing the curfew – possibly to 11 p.m. (SDA / bra)
