Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales recently made time for each other and enjoyed a date night. However, the location the couple chose for their date night is surprising.

But not in a restaurant or bar: Instead, on Friday, September 29, 2023, the Waleses are said to have secretly visited the sales rooms of the Dreweatts auction house, which is located near their home in Windsor, in intimate company, as the “Daily Mail” reports . William and Kate were “very interested” in some of the items there. It is believed they were looking at the extraordinary collection of decorator and antiques dealer Robert Kime, who died in August. Kime has previously designed interiors for King Charles, 74, at Highgrove and Clarence House.
“Everyone was thrilled to see her. It was the start of the big champagne reception that auction houses always throw before a serious meeting,” a source tells the British publication. It is not known whether William and Catherine bought anything at auction. However, it is possible that they were looking for gifts for the Princess of Wales’s parents or siblings. Plus, it’s no secret that Kate has a great passion for art. After all, author Tina Brown already wrote in her book “The Palace Papers” that the mother of three had a certain trick to get into museums without being seen.
While an auction hall isn’t exactly a common place for a date, William and Kate seem to have enjoyed their time together – and that’s what matters.
