Acted in self-defense? – Dispute at the bathing pond escalates: woman pulls out knife


Because of jealousy, a dispute at a Viennese swimming pond in the Danube city escalated on Monday night. A 41-year-old woman is said to have injured a 22-year-old with a knife. She stated that she was beaten by the young man. You just struggled, the police reported on Tuesday. She always has the knife with her to prepare meals.

The Hirschstetten bathing pond – also known as the Ziegelhofteich – is a popular meeting place for the Viennese. The 41-year-old got to know a man and was likely to have felt drawn to him. However, when he spoke to another woman at another of these meetings, the situation escalated.

Arrested after a short escape
The 41-year-old became aggressive and threatened the group with her knife. When an acquaintance of the loved one – the 22-year-old – got in her way, his hand was injured. The 41-year-old fled initially, but was arrested a little later on suspicion of bodily harm.

According to the police, however, the woman stated that she had been attacked herself. You just struggled. According to the police, the 41-year-old was actually found to have redness on her face.
