Razer continues 2024 by today renewing its most muscular (and expensive) laptop PC: the Razer Blade 18. This is what awaits gamers who can afford it.
Unveiled at the last CES, the Razer Blade 18 version 2024 continues in excess, both in terms of characteristics and price. It must be said that this gaming laptop PC is ambitious and that it “ embodies Razer’s unwavering commitment to redefining the laptop experience “. To achieve this, this gaming machine attempts to mix the performance of a desktop computer with the mobility of a portable machine.
A unique screen for the Razer Blade 18 2024
Its main strong point is to offer a choice of two attractive 18-inch panels. The first is of the Mini-LED type with a QHD+ (2560 x 1600) display at 300 Hz. Those with the biggest appetites can opt for even better: a UHD+ (3840 x 2400) panel at 200 Hz, unique in the industry, but without OLED this time. Another unique element for this range of products: a Thunderbolt 5 port is included, alongside a USB-C port.
To make the most of this panel, the Razer Blade 18 2024 is powered by a high-performance duo: an Intel Core i9-14900HX on the CPU side, and your choice of a GeForce RTX 4070, 4080 or 4090 for the GPU. The manufacturer has nevertheless managed to offer a relatively thin gaming computer, namely 21.99 mm for a little over 3 kg.
A high-performance and scalable product
Interestingly, Razer specifies that it is possible to upgrade “certain components” of its machine. Which shouldn’t happen right away, however, since most of them are part of what’s best today. Like its Wi-Fi 7 card. On the other hand, we will be satisfied with a 5Mp webcam on the front.
Finally comes the annoying question (beyond that of the installed OS, namely Windows 11): the price. The Razer Blade 18 version 2024, available now on the Razer website, is priced from 3,599 euros. In its most efficient configuration (and necessarily in black, it is impossible to choose the best storage and memory in white), the bill rises to 5,899 euros.
