Expensive legal proceedings: Allegedly, the Queen is helping her son Prince Andrew with a cash injection in the millions.
Is Queen Elizabeth II (95) helping her son Prince Andrew (61) financially to provide him with the best legal advice against allegations of abuse by Virginia Roberts Giuffre (38)? This is what the British “Telegraph” wants exclusively have found out. Accordingly, the Queen would contribute millions of British pounds from her private coffers to pay, among other things, for the newly hired legal team from the USA.
The money would therefore be part of the income that the Queen generates from properties in the Duchy of Lancaster – that is said to have been almost 27 million euros last year. Experts assume that the media-effective court case against Prince Andrew could drag on for months or even years and would eat up several million in court and legal fees.
Expensive lawyers in the US
The fact that this cash injection from his mother is necessary has to do with the fact that Prince Andrew himself has practically no income, in addition to the team of lawyers expanded to include US colleagues. Roberts Giuffre had filed a civil lawsuit against him in the United States. The allegation: Prince Andrew allegedly sexually abused her as a minor on the property of the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019). Andrew denies the allegations.
The 38-year-old is claiming damages in the lawsuit, the amount is not known. According to British media reports, speculation is over a million.
