Lanxess Arena: Germany's largest hall will reopen soon

Major events will start again in Germany's largest event hall, the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, starting on June 20. To this end, the operator sat down with the authorities and developed a concept that takes corona measures into account. In this way, the visitors are assigned to certain places in the hall, so-called "cubes", which are each 1.5 meters away from the next cube. Between five and ten percent of the 18,000-seat hall will initially be used. The operator announced on Wednesday.

Special corona concept

This is made possible by the event concept ARENA NOW !, which was pioneered by Cologne organizers Tom Thomas and Thomas Fasshauer. The aim of the concept is to be able to hold large events despite corona restrictions. The two were also able to convince the operator of the Lanxess Arena, Stefanloch.

Wincent Weiss (27, "Here with you") will kick off the first live concerts on June 20. Felix Jaehn (25, "Close Your Eyes") and Don Diablo (40, "Bad") have also been confirmed. Ticket sales begin on June 12th.
